There is a true and utter need in our hearts and souls for sanctifying grace. But what it is it? There are two types of grace in our lives; sanctifying and actual. Sanctifying grace is

No matter how small or big, each of us probably has one or more people whom we need to forgive. For some of us, we still see this person often. For others, we haven't seen them in years. When Jesus tells us that we must love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, does someone like this come to mind?
Read MoreWhen we read the verse, "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Mk 12:31), it's easy to feel fairly confident. We know we are pretty nice people, we don't really have malicious intentions, and we do good things for others. However, in Matthew 5:44 Jesus tells us, "You have heard it said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you . . ."

Read MoreSo, we hear how much of a call we have when praying the rosary. We hear that it should keep us in a state of growth and push us to dive more deeply into our faith. A rosary is not supposed to be a load of useless prayers that we repeat time after time. It is supposed to serve as a call to you to dive deeper into your spiritual life and it is supposed to serve as a tool to let you see the Lord’s life and reflect on yours and how you need to change or improve your life to grow deeper. It is supposed to be a tool for you to break open the scriptures a bit more and dive into His word in order to live out his Word joyfully, gloriously, sorrowfully and luminously.
Read MoreIn our spiritual lives and our day to day lives we are called to live by example, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” -Matthew 5: 16. Due to the mysteries being a path in which to pave our spiritual life, we are called through the Glorious mysteries to shine bright for others to see.
Read MoreThe Sorrowful Mysteries are the ones that we are the most familiar with. These mysteries are the ones that we walk through each and every year before we celebrate the Resurrection. These are the ones that every Friday during Lent we meditate on through the stations and every day during Lent in anticipation of the death of our Lord. But just because the title holds ‘sorrowful’ doesn’t mean that we are called to be sorrowful every time we pray the rosary and are meditating on these mysteries.
Read MoreThe Luminous mysteries are also known as the mysteries of light. While praying them, we are called to be lights, to light up our paths and to light the paths of others in order to gain a deeper understanding of the Lord and our spiritual lives.
Read MoreThe rosary is much more than repeating the Hail Mary fifty times, the Our Father ten times and the Glory Be five times. It is much more than 20 minutes wasted of our time, and it is much more than losing which bead we were last on. The rosary also encompasses the mysteries of the rosary. The Mysteries are broken down into four sets and are all taken from the bible.
Read MoreThe Rosary is such a beautiful prayer in which we ask for the intercession of our Holy Mother.. Think about it, every single time you start praying, “Hail Mary Full of Grace,” you are specifically asking Mary to intercede for you. But what many find the hardest to decipher between is how the Rosary can be linked through scripture.
