I am a convert and received my sacraments in 2010. I was on a spiritual high leading up to and shortly after I converted and our RCIA directors warned us that it would be a long way down if we didn’t stay involved with our parish community.
My life has always been a constant conveyer belt that moves from one thing to the next. After high school I went straight into college where I took at least 20 credits worth of class each semester in order to graduate “on time”
Many people take Philippians 4:13 out of context and interpret it to mean “I can do anything as long as I have Jesus at my side.” God’s strength is not something that can be put into a bottle labeled “liquid courage.”
Love really is the first and foremost thing that Jesus teaches. It was the foundation of His life with Mother Mary and St. Joseph, it’s the foundation of why the saints became saints, it’s why St. Mother Teresa became a missionary for the poor, it’s “what makes the world go round”!
