Lent 2015 Day 16 // Build

Exodus Chapter 3, Mark 11:23

When God tests us is when He’s preparing us for something extraordinary.

We’re all called to build the Kingdom of God.

When God appeared to Moses in a fiery bush, He placed a task on his heart so great that Moses at first resisted. He doubted his own abilities and asked God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh?"

God placed a fire in Moses’ heart to build His Kingdom by setting His people free from suffering, slavery, and bondage.

Has God placed a fire in your heart to build His Kingdom? If you look in the deepest deserts of your heart, I’m willing to bet there’s one there.

Maybe it’s raising godly children and leading them out of the snares of the world or freeing them from the bondage of peer pressure.

Maybe it’s strengthening your marriage and setting your husband free from the chains of addiction, gambling, or pornography.

Maybe it’s setting your own self free from pride, anger, depression, guilt, shame — and finally finding healing, peace, and forgiveness in the Lord.

Whatever that means for you, these challenges and trials — our crosses — are ultimately for the glory of God.

The fire He placed in your heart is His way of saying it’s done.

This Lenten season, I invite you to place all your cares, doubts, and fears at the Lord’s Feet. Have faith that the Lord can and will move mountains.

Let’s all take our own crosses and build the Kingdom of God!

There is freedom in the Cross.

Peace be with you, my gorgeous faithful sister.
